Laboratory Fume Hoods

Fume Hood, it is the new technical instrument in the air condition workshop and clean workshop. And it is widely applicable in electronics, chemicals, medicine, university, and laboratory.

Fume hoods can be used in the operation of potential risk or unknown infected factors, and the experiment of flammability, explosive volatilization, and narcotics.

Fume Hoods Two main types exist, ducted fume hood and recirculating (ductless fume hood). The principle is the same for both types: air is drawn in from the front (open) side of the fume hood, and either expelled outside the building or made safe through filtration and fed back into the room.

The fume hoods used to:

  • Protect the user from inhaling toxic gases
  • Secondary functions of these devices may include explosion protection, spill containment, and other functions necessary to the work being done within the device.

 

Fume hoods Types Available:-

  • Ducted fume hoods
  • Walk-in fume hood
  • Ductless (recirculating) fume hoods

Fume hood Features:-

  • Warn of low airflow
  • Warn of too large an opening at the front of the unit (a “high sash” alarm is caused by the sliding glass at the front of the unit being raised higher than is considered safe, due to the resulting air velocity drop)
  • Allow switching the exhaust fan on or off
  • Allow turning an internal light on or off
  • Humane design and tempered glass front door
  • The glass door can stop at any height
  • The light can offer ≥ 9000lux, the light fixed outside of the work area, have no affection for the airflow
  • Microprocessor controlled, the filter inspection technology, real-time check and show the airflow all the time
  • Sliding front sash, have interlock device with UV lamp, can program the UV time
  • Safety double sidewalls, adopt remote control for water and gas taps, assure the safety of the operator
  • The work area is made of 304 stainless steel, the work surface adopts the solid physicochemical board to make sure of the long life and anti-corrosion
    The side walls made of cold steel with epoxy coating
  • Spring gas bar support the front panel automatically, more convenient for clean and maintenance

A ductless fume hood:-

The most advanced equipment with advanced filtration technology. The ductless fume hood is used widely in chemical, medical or university laboratories which have limited space or users want simple, it has all the advantages which traditional fume hoods could not arrive.

  • Cut all the difficulties or complications for exhaust pipes project, save budget for the user, don’t need to install; Easily remove like a cart. Protect people and the environment.
  • Adopts the active carbon filter with the following efficiency: 95% for SO2, CHLORINE, O3; 93% for CO2, 90% for butyl acid, 93% for pyridine, 33% for benzol, and have filter function for other volatile gases
  • Prefilter can lengthen the life of active carbon filter
